About Casio watches

Casio watches are produced by Casio Computer Co. Ltd., a Japanese multinational electronics manufacturing corporation headquartered in Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan. Its products include calculators, mobile phones, digital cameras, electronic musical instruments, and analogue and digital watches.

When it comes to watches, Casio are particularly renowned for their long-lasting quartz movements and for their digital watches that offer a large array of functions for a very competitive price point. Starting with one of the most popular and affordable Casio watch models, the Casio F-91, their digital watch models grow more and more complex. While the Casio G-shock range is known for its impressive durability, Casio Pro-Trek watches are particularly popular among those who love hiking and outdoor adventures.

The brand offers a large variety of watches, from highly-resistant sports watches to solar powered watches and elegant wristwear. If you're interested in vintage Casio watch models, we invite you to check out our collection here.

What is the auto-light function on a Casio G-shock watch?

The auto-light function on a Casio G-shock watch is a feature that you can use in order to check the time in the dark. When active, the auto-light function works like this: whenever you tilt the watch towards your face (while placed on the wrist), the dial will automatically light-up so you can check the time. Afterwards, it will go dark again, in order not to use up the watch battery.

It's a practical function that's great to have active when you need your Casio watch in low-light places. For example, you can use it during hikes, camping, music festivals, parties, etc.
