About Invicta
Invicta is an American watch company that was originally founded in Switzerland back in 1837. The brand became well-known for producing affordable and stylish timepieces with hand-wound mechanical movements. During the Second World War and the subsequent quartz revolution of the 1970s, however, the company started to struggle. And it was eventually purchased by a group of American investors in 1991 and relocated to Hollywood, LA.
Under new ownership, Invicta was relaunched and has since become a popular brand for those looking for uniquely-designed watches, boasting partnerships with famous figures such as NFL Hall of Famer Jason Taylor and NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal.
Invicta Pro Diver
In this tutorial, we used an Invicta Men's Pro Diver Collection Coin-Edge Automatic Watch, with a 40-mm case, an NH35A 24-jewels Japanese automatic movement, and an impressive water resistance up to 200 meters.
It's one of the most affordable diver watches on the market with such specs, and it comes with a rotating bezel, as well glow-in-the-dark hands and hour markers. The design is of course inspired by the iconic Rolex Submariner Date watch, but this Invicta watch model is for those seeking an affordable timepiece that still features an elegant, luxurious design.
We'll soon publish an extensive review of this Invicta Pro Diver watch, after having worn it for a few months and having tested its resistance to water, and its other exciting functions. So keep an eye on the blog for that.
How to set the time on an Invicta Pro Diver watch
Setting the time on an Invicta Pro Diver watch is different than when you set the time on a regular watch. Because this is a diver watch, it has a screw-down crown. This prevents water and moisture from getting inside the case of the watch. So, in order to set the time, you need to first rotate the crown counter-clockwise in order to unscrew it. When the crown of the watch pops out a little bit, you will finally be able to set the date and the time.
In order to set the date, simply rotate the crown and select the right number. And then, in order to set the time, you need to pull out the crown a little bit more (see video), and then rotate it.
We suggest watching our video tutorial above, in order to easily understand the whole process. And to make sure you know how to set the time, date, and how to wind you Invicta Pro Diver watch correctly.
