About Seiko Watches
Seiko is a world-renowned watchmaking company that is particularly famous for its precise and long-lasting Japanese quartz movements. Founded in 1881 by Kintarō Hattori in Tokyo, Seiko introduced one of the first quartz watches and the first quartz watch with a chronograph complication.
How to Set the Time & Date on a Seiko Quartz Watch
Setting the time and the date on a Seiko quartz watch is a simple, standard procedure, which is pretty much the same for any watch that is powered by a quartz/battery movement and that has a day & date function.
Here are the steps you need to follow to set the day, date and time on your Seiko watch:
- Pull the crown of the watch to the exterior. Rotate it downwards to change the day of the week. Then, rotate it upwards to change the date of the month (see video tutorial).
- Pull the crown to the exterior a second time. And rotate it either upwards or downwards in order to set the time. Select the exact hour and minute.
- Finally, push the crown back in. Make sure it is pushed back fully, not just half-way. And that's it.
