In this article, we'll show you how to reset/recalibrate the chronograph hands of an Omega x Swatch MoonSwatch. We have an easy-to-follow video tutorial that will take you through this process step-by-step. So, let's reset the chrono on your MoonSwatch!

How to reset/recalibrate the chronograph hands - Omega x Swatch MoonSwatch

Got your hands on an Omega x Swatch MoonSwatch model and want to check out the chrono function? Watch the video above to learn how to reset the chronograph hands on your MoonSwatch.

This tutorial should work for a number of different watches, not just for the MoonSwatch featured in the video. If you found it useful, make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel, to help us create more free content for watch lovers!

We recalibrate the chronograph hand on the main dial, as well as the hands on the sub-dials: the 2 o'clock sub-dial, and the 10 o'clock sub-dial.

What does recalibrating the chronograph hands mean? This procedure will align the chrono hands at 12 o'clock once again. So, when you'll want to use the chronograph function to measure something, the watch hand will start measuring from 0 (from the 12 o'clock mark).

Why do you need to recalibrate the chronograph hands? If you've used the chronograph function on your watch repeatedly or if you toyed with the buttons of your watch, when you'll want to reset the chronograph hand, it won't go back to 12 o'clock. Instead, it will start measuring from a different position on the dial of the watch. That is why, a recalibration process is necessary from time to time.

Omega x Swatch Collab: the Bioceramic Omega Speedmaster MoonSwatch

If you haven't heard of the famous Omega x Swatch collab, you need to check out our article where we introduce you to the collection and we show you the 11 different Bioceramic MoonSwatch watches.

In just a few words, for those who don't know, Omega and Swatch have released a collection of Bioceramic Swatch watches that resemble the iconic Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch model. The collection is inspired by the moon, the sun, and the planets in our galaxy. So each watch model has a color palette and a story about the respective planet, star, or, in our case, the moon.

Examples of Swatch x Omega watch models:
